OUR EVENTS
Rooted in practice, lead by heart
Learn & Lunch
Facilitated by experienced practitioners, Dr Ama Collison (Educational & Child Psychologist) and Kemi Omijeh (Child Psychotherapist), this CPD session introduces CYP practitioners on how to develop their cultural competence to meaningfully embed inclusive and anti-racist spaces.
Through reflection, discussion, and practical strategies, participants will build confidence in embedding anti-racist practice in their role and organisation.
Our founders
We Are Akoma is led by Kemi Omijeh and Dr Ama Collison – experienced practitioners bringing a heart-led, culturally responsive approach to training, supervision, and consultancy. Discover their stories and the values that shape their work.
The Seven Heartbeats
We’re guided by compassion, cultural integrity, and social justice. Everything we offer is designed to uplift those who support children and young people – especially those from racially minoritised communities.
